Random...Automatic Toilets

So, this is totally random and may be too much information but that's ok. Collin and I were at the mall yesterday so he could use a gift card he got for Christmas and we made a stop at the restroom (which is pretty common these days...lol). And as I was taking care of business I came to a realization. I hate those automatic flushing toilets. Sure they keep you from having to touch the germ infested handle but I mean they never work right for me. They always flush before I am finished and then when I am done it won't flush again therefore causing me to have to push the manual flush button therefore defeating the purpose all together. So, I have officially decided that I am not a fan of the automatic toilets...Anyone else have an opinion on them???

Choke

Well, another disappointing season has now officially come and gone for the Dallas Cowboys. Once again they couldn't get it together enough at the end of the season and now won't be in the playoffs. I hate it when my team isn't in the playoffs. It just makes it so boring when you don't have anyone to cheer for. And now that we live in Denver we technically had 2 chances to have a team in the playoffs (even though I'm really not a huge Broncos fan) and the Broncos choked too. All either one of them had to do yesterday was win their game and both of them were completely blown out. Oh well, I guess there's always next year.

My New Toy...

Like I said in one of my prior posts, this year for Christmas I just asked everyone to contribute to my new computer fund. I am so thankful for the contribution I received because I ended up only being a little bit short and was able to cover what was left myself. So, now I am sitting here blogging for the first time on my awesome new MacBook!!

I have always been one that enjoys new technology. New computers, cell phones, ipods...etc. So, getting this new computer is super exciting for me. The main reason I wanted it was because my previous computer was completely out of memory and I was having to delete (not permanently delete but remove for that computer and put on an external drive) pictures in order to make room for anything new and I'm one that likes to have all my pictures right there just in case I need one for something. And with the baby coming I knew we would be taking A LOT more pictures in the the near future. So, now I have a computer that has 4 times more space than my old one had and plenty of room for lots of pics.

Now, I just have to get all of my stuff transfered from the old computer to the new one!!

He made it!!

At around 3 am Collin arrived at my parents house to drop off Toby and pick me up. I am so thankful that he made it here safely. And again even though I was up at 3 am for some reason I couldn't sleep past 8:45 am. Oh well...I know eventually all this lack of sleep is going to catch up with me and I am just going to crash. But at this point I am still going strong.

I'm so excited to finally have Collin and to be able to spend the holidays with his family and mine.

9 days later

So 9 days is a long time. And that is how long it has been since I last saw Collin. I am super excited that he is finally coming to join me in Texas tonight. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to leave Colorado until 2 pm which will put him here at around 3 am at best...so I am not really looking forward to getting up at 3 for the second time this week. But it will be worth it to see him. This is the longest we have been apart since we first started dating as juniors in high school so it will be nice to finally be back together again. I have missed him a lot.

On a not so exciting note, I have unfortunately come down with some kind of virus. When I got here my whole family was sick so I was pretty sure it was inevitable that I would get it too and sure enough I now have a cough, super sore throat and stuffy nose. Hopefully it goes away quickly!! Sadly since I'm pregnant I can't really take any meds for but with it being viral I really wouldn't be able to take much anyways. My doctor did say I can take Robitussin for the cough so hopefully that helps a little. I really just hope I'm better before Christmas and that I don't get anyone else sick.

That's all for now...I'm going to try and sleep for a little while to see if that helps me feel better and help the time pass faster while I'm waiting for Collin to get here!! Pray that he gets here safely and that I get better quickly!!

Still on Island time...

After 6 hours of sitting in airports and 6 more hours in the air we have made it back safely to Texas. Unfortunately for me I am still on island time which is 2 hours ahead of here so that is why I am awake so early even though we didn't go to sleep until 1 am.

Once we made it to St. Kitts our trip went great. We didn't have any rain the whole time we were there...it was just sunny and beautiful. I told you about our first day in my last post so I'll go ahead and tell you about the other day and a half. On Friday we got up and had the breakfast buffet which was really yummy. Then we headed straight for the beach. We laid out there for a few hours and then decided to go lay by the pool for a while. We then had lunch at the Pizza Shack, which is at the hotel. After lunch we decided we needed to get out of the sun for a little while so we went and sat by a different pool (there were 3) that was more shaded and played a game of scrabble, which I lost terribly. Apparently my vocabulary skills aren't up to par. After that we headed to the room to get ready for dinner and just at a one of the restaurants at the hotel. And that about covers Friday.

Saturday was the day we left but our flight didn't leave until 4 pm so we had some time to do stuff before we headed to the airport. We got up around 8 and headed to the pool. We laid out there for about 3 hours and then decided to go shower and get ready to leave. We had lunch by the pool one last time and then headed to the airport. Then 12 hours later we were back in Dallas.

We had a great time and will hopefully be able to go back sometime. I just hope next time Collin and go with me because I missed him a lot. Here are several more pictures from the rest of our trip.

First Trimester...Check

I can't believe it has already been 12 weeks. It has flown by. I'm not gonna lie it kinda freaks me out a little because that means we are a third of the way there...pretty crazy.

For the most part things have gone pretty smoothly up to this point. Thankfully, I haven't gotten sick hardly at all. I felt a little nauseous here and there but that is the worst it got. I was also really tired there for a while but that seems to be getting much better too. Since I have been in Texas I haven't been taking naps like I was before and I am staying up past 7:30 pm now...lol. My mom bought me my first pair of maternity jeans the other day so that is fun. They don't fit yet but I'm sure in a few weeks they will.

We don't have our next doctors appointment until we get back from Texas. It will be on January 5 and we are praying that everything goes well with that.

Other than that, there isn't really much else going on with the whole pregnancy thing. But I will be sure to keep you all updated at time goes on.

On another note...We are having a great time on our trip!! Yesterday, we took a cab to a local beach called Reggae Beach that had a restaurant, t-shirt shop, and chair and umbrella rentals. We stayed there and laid in the sun for a few hours and had lunch but it was extremely hot so we decided to get our cab and head out. We then got a tour of the island and went to this factory that makes dyed clothes that are really neat. I got a a really cute wrap. After that we headed back to the hotel and then went to the hotel beach for a little while. Then we came back to the room to get ready for dinner. For dinner, we went to this place that is right on the beach called the Shiggdy Shack. It's all open and has a live band and the most amazing fresh lobster!! It was lots of fun!! After dinner we came back to the hotel and just hung out.

Today I think we are just going to hang around the hotel and go to the beach and the pool here. We might go try to find some t-shirts as well. It should be a fun and relaxing day.

Here are a bunch of pics of our trip so far...I'll post more on facebook because it's kind of a pain to do a lot on here :D...They are a little out of order because they are from several different cameras...the quotes go with the picture above the :D (just in case you were confused :D)

Off to a great start...

Ya, not so much. I think aside from our plane crashing everything that could have gone wrong has. Let me start at the beginning. We woke up at 3 am this morning and headed to the airport and actually didn't have any problems there. We boarded our plane at about 5:30 am and then sat there for about 2 hours, for reasons we still do not know. So around 7:30 am we took off which was an hour and a half later than we were supposed to leave. This was a little nerve racking considering our layover in Miami was only an hour and 35 minutes...but the pilot said we would be flying a little faster to make up some of the lost time so we felt ok about it. So we land in Miami at 10:40 am (Miami time) and we are still thinking we can make our 11:05 flight to St. Kitts (which is the only flight there of the day), but by the time we get to the gate and got off the plane (man people are slow at that) our flight was gone. For some irritating reason they decided to leave early instead of waiting 5 short minutes for us to run and make our connection. So there we are stuck at the Miami airport.

We go to the AA customer service desk to get it straightened out and find out that we would be spending the night in Miami because like I said before there is only one flight each day to St. Kitts. AA did pay for our hotel (which is in the shadiest part of town ever) and paid for our lunch, dinner, and breakfast. But that still doesn't make up for our lost day on the beach.

Now you might be thinking what else can go wrong...well after we got our tickets sorted out we head down to get our bags so we can go check in to our hotel. And what do you know...they are no where to be found. We ask a desk worker who sends us to talk to another desk worker who sends us upstairs to talk to a supervisor who apparently doesn't exist and then we are told to go back downstairs where the lady then tells us to wait at carousel 25. We still aren't sure what we were going to be waiting for at carousel 25 because our flight had landed over 3 hours prior to this conversation and we were pretty sure our bags weren't just going to magically appear there. So we are hoping that somehow they end up in St. Kitts tomorrow when we do...but we shall see.

Ok so now that we have done what we can with the bags we check-in to our hotel which goes surprisingly smooth and have a little lunch. Then we decide to rent a car and go to an outlet mall since we have most of the day to kill in Miami. We rent the car which is way overpriced and head out to the mall. Once we get to the mall we are literally verbally assaulted in the parking lot by a jewish man (he was wearing a yamaka sp???) who seemed to think we were stealing his parking spot which he had completely driven past and then once we started to turn into he decided he wanted and started backing up. He then got out of his car and started cussing at us about taking the parking spot. So needless to say we backed up and found somewhere to park on the other side of the mall.

Whew, talk about a rough day. Now we are back at our hotel though and ready to go to bed and just completely forget about this day!! Hopefully tomorrow will be much better and we will arrive in St. Kitts with our bags and will enjoy what is left of our trip.

Man that's early...

Tomorrow is the day we have been waiting for. We leave for our girls trip bright and early. We will be waking up at 3 am to head to the airport for our 6 am flight. Unfortunately, we are having a little bit of winter weather here in Texas so that is why we are leaving so early. We are thinking it might take us a bit longer if the roads are icy at all. Hopefully, we don't have any trouble and just end up getting there early. I don't think we will have a problem but we just want to be prepared.

I really don't think we are going to have internet at our hotel (at least free internet...such a rip off) so I probably won't be able to post again until after we get back. So just be praying we have a safe trip!! Can't wait to tell ya all about it!!
