My Sisters Wedding

A couple of weeks ago we loaded up the car and headed south to Texas for my baby sister's wedding. We spent the whole week before in Dallas with family (finalizing the new job and looking for a house) and then headed down to Horseshoe Bay for big event.  It was a fun few days down by the lake just hanging out and celebrating Morgan and Matt's big day.  I was a co-maid of honor with our other sister, Heather and Maddox, Addison and Brooklyn were the ring bearer and flower girls.  The wedding went off perfectly and was absolutely beautiful!  It was fun to get to be a part of Morgan and Matt's special day!  We pray blessings over their new life together!

DEN to DFW

to
Well, I'm sure by this point most of you have heard our big news.  This past Sunday we announced that Collin has accepted the preaching position at the Greenville Oaks Church of Christ in Allen, TX and that we would be moving in July.  The best way to explain our emotions is bittersweet.  We are so sad to leave all the people we have come to know and love here in Colorado but are also so excited to start this new chapter in Texas at Greenville Oaks and closer to family.

Our time at Littleton has of course had its ups and down but regardless we will look back on our time here with fond memories.  We are so grateful this church was willing to take a chance on a young preacher right out of school and his wife.  We have grown and learned so much during our time here. We have built our family here.  The people at Littleton have been our family while we were away from family and we will be forever grateful for that.  Many tears have been shed already and I'm sure a few more will be shed as we say our goodbyes in the days to come.  Though the distance doesn't mean the relationships will end.  We have most certainly made forever friends here!

As we look forward to our move and the new opportunities in Texas we are filled with excitement.  We feel so blessed to have this opportunity to serve along side all those already at Greenville Oaks.  We have high hopes of the relationship that will be formed there.  We have found a house to live in that I pray will be a place we will host many, a place our kids can grow in and love, and a place our family will live in for a long time.  We can't wait to see all that God will do in this next chapter of our lives.

So with this news, I ask that you would be in prayer for us, that the transition goes smoothly especially for our kids.  I ask that you would be in prayer for Greenville Oaks, that we can join with them and together be a blessing to the city of Allen and the surrounding areas.  And I ask that you would be in prayer for Littleton, that they transition well and that God would lead them to the right person to be their next lead minister.

Sister is 3

On May 31st our sweet Addison turned 3 years old.  We celebrated a week early because her actual birthday was the same day as my sister's wedding that she got to be the flower girl in (ill post about this later) and I thought we would be pretty busy that day.  We were in Texas for the entire week before so we decided to celebrate on Memorial day with all of our family!  It was so much fun!

Addy is our wild and crazy kid.  She is fearless.  She has a new found love for dancing and it cracks us up.  She adds so much fun and energy to our family.  She can also frustrate us like crazy.  She is stubborn and can throw a mean temper tantrum.  Regardless, we love her to pieces and couldn't imagine life without her in it!

We had her 3 year well check yesterday and she checked out perfectly!  She weighs 32 lbs (60th%) and is 37 1/2 in tall (50th %).  Thankfully we didn't have to get any shots at this appointment.  She did get a finger prick for a study they were doing on type 1 diabetes and celiac in children but it didn't even phase her.  We are so thankful she is a healthy little girl.

We love this sweet girl so much and feel so blessed that God chose us to be her family.  We love getting to watch her grow and learn each day.
