A Family Visit

Yesterday evening my parents, 2 sisters and brother left after spending a week here with us!  We had a blast having them here and were definitely sad to see them go.  It's times like this that really make me miss Texas a lot!!  I has become especially hard since having kids to be so far away from all of our family.  But Colorado is where God has placed us at the time so periodic visits and FaceTime chats are the best we can do right now!

While the fam was here we got to do some fun things.  We had really nice weather the first 2 days but unfortunately had cold and rainy weather the rest of the trip.  We took advantage of the nice weather at the first of the week and went to Garden of the Gods.  We had a lot of fun and got some really god pictures!!  On Thursday Maddox had school so the boys rented a jeep and went to the mountains while the girls went to the mall.  We spent the afternoon playing outside, blowing bubbles and doing sidewalk chalk.  On Friday we all went to the Children's Museum and then had a delicious lunch at one of our favorite places Cinzetti's (an amazing Italian buffet up north in Thornton).  Friday night Collin and I actually went to The Fray concert at Red Rocks (it was raining and freezing but still fun) and my family got to baby sit the kids which they loved!!  On Saturday we went to Colorado Mills Mall and played glow-in-the-dark mini golf and did a little shopping.  We all headed to church on Sunday and then celebrated Mother's Day with lunch at Hacienda Colorado!!

We had so much fun having them here.  Maddox absolutely LOVES having family visit so he was especially sad to see everyone go.  We are already looking forward to the next time we get to have family here or we get to go visit them!!
