NO!!

"No" is not something you have to say to an immobile baby very often but the moment they start moving they begin getting into things they aren't supposed to and "NO" becomes a more common word. Maddox's "NO NO" item is electrical cords. He LOVES them and he LOVES to put them in his mouth (So not a good idea!!) I've had to remove the fan from out living room because he kept pulling on the cord and was bound to pull the whole thing over on top of himself. His favorite cords are our computer charger cords though. They are the perfect size to go right inside his little mouth. So, we have to make sure we tuck them completely under the couch and out of his reach because he has already broken one because he was sucking on it.

You would think it would be hard to tell your child "no" but it is really amazing how easily it comes when they are doing something they aren't supposed to.

Picture Comparison

Since Maddox is getting a little older I thought it would be fun to compare some pictures to see who he is looking like these days. I think these 2 pictures of Collin and me are about the same age that he is right now. So what do you think?? Does he look like Mommy or Daddy?!?!

(if you click on the picture it will get bigger :D)

Crawling

We have officially entered a whole new world at our house. Our little buddy has started crawling. He first started at the beginning of last week but of course wasn't very good at it. Over the past week though he has improved quite a bit!! Its a fun new adventure but having a mobile baby will definitely change things around here. We now need to finish baby-proofing and I can no longer just leave Maddox sitting on the floor and expect him to be in the same place when I return. Here is a video I took of him today...enjoy :D

Radio Flyer

For Christmas my grandparents got Maddox a wagon. I hadn't gotten it out and put it together yet because it was still pretty cold outside here. But today, I decided to finally get it out and put it together and take Mr. Maddox for a ride because it has been so nice out lately. It took me a little while to get it assembled but once I put Maddox in it he LOVED it!! I will say it is a lot fancier than my wagon was when I was a kid!! This wagon is fully equipped with a canopy, actual seats, seat belts and cup holders. Pretty cool!! He absolutely loved riding in it around the block!! It will be fun to take him places like the zoo and park and be able to use it!! Thanks Nana and Papa for our super fun wagon!!

Here are a few pictures of his first ride in the Radio Flyer...

Umbrella Stroller

So, I'm considering purchasing a new umbrella stroller for my little dude. I love our Bob but feel like there are some times that a light weight, more compact stroller would be handy. I looked at Babies R Us today because I have a 20% off coupon and a gift card but just didn't know which brand or model to go with. I was looking at these 3 but would really appreciate any input or suggestions that you fellow moms might have!!

Chicco Liteway Stroller
(I read the wheels on this one are a little un-sturdy and it only holds up to 40lbs)
Combi Cosmo EX Stroller
(The guy at BRU highly recommended this one but I read that even though it says it holds up to 55 lbs it really doesn't because the thing that holds up the backrest is just a drawstring thing that can slide down with heavier weight kids.)

Maclaren Triumph Stroller
(I didn't see this one at the store but found it online and like the look of it. It has gotten pretty good reviews but most of the Mcclarens don't recline and it doesn't say if this one does on the description and I would like it to recline.)

So let me know what you guys think!! And if you have another recommendation please share as well!! Thanks a bunch!!

Easter Fun

It has been a great day!! But also a long day!! We have been going non-stop since we got up at 7:30 this morning. We had a fabulous church service that was packed full!! We had lunch with lots of good friends! Watched the kids hunt easter eggs...twice (they found them...gave them back to be re-hid and then hunted for them again :D). Came home for Maddox to nap but I had to run to the grocery store to get stuff to make food for a dinner we went to tonight down at His Hands. We also had a little Bible study at His Hands before dinner. We came home and Maddox played for a little while and now he is finally in bed and I am able to sit on the couch for the first time today!! WHEW!! Like I said...A great day but a long tiring day too!!

I am so thankful for what this day is all about. I was really special to get to celebrate this holiday for the first time with our sweet boy!! Having him here with us brings an entirely new thankfulness for our risen Savor!! What a privilege it is to be able to live amongst all the blessings we have received!!

Here are a few pictures from our day...
