NO!!

"No" is not something you have to say to an immobile baby very often but the moment they start moving they begin getting into things they aren't supposed to and "NO" becomes a more common word. Maddox's "NO NO" item is electrical cords. He LOVES them and he LOVES to put them in his mouth (So not a good idea!!) I've had to remove the fan from out living room because he kept pulling on the cord and was bound to pull the whole thing over on top of himself. His favorite cords are our computer charger cords though. They are the perfect size to go right inside his little mouth. So, we have to make sure we tuck them completely under the couch and out of his reach because he has already broken one because he was sucking on it.

You would think it would be hard to tell your child "no" but it is really amazing how easily it comes when they are doing something they aren't supposed to.

Hehe, just wait until you have 3 of them doing things you don't want them doing! I found that the word "no" became ignored quickly because they heard it so much...it helped me to get them to listen better when they were babies to say something like, "Riley, don't touch" and then move her away from whatever it was and to something that was ok for her to touch. Just a little something I learned!

hah...so funny. corban has the EXACT SAME love...cords. In fact, we, too had to receive a completely new computer charger AND have our computer completely redone where the charger is plugged in. his slobber fried the charger end, which in turn fried the computer connection. oh boy. i'm not sure if we just didn't have the same amount of cords around when cailyn was little or what, but i don't remember her EVER getting into them like corban does. happy correcting!
