Brazil

At the end of July, Collin and I had an amazing opportunity to go to Brazil for a conference.  A wonderful couple from our church had been saving for several years to attend the World Convention but due to health problems were unable to go.  They chose to use the money they had been saving to send us in their place.  What a generous thing to do.

We left our kiddos with Collin's parents and headed out on out trip.  The conference was held in Goiania, Brazil which is in the center of the country.  We left Denver at around 3pm on Monday July 23 and arrived in Goiania at about 7 pm on July 24.  It was a long day of traveling.  The 24th was our anniversary and since our flight was delayed out of Dallas to Sao Paulo we missed our connection and ended up spending our 8th anniversary in the airport.  Oh well.  We eventually made it to our destination and enjoyed our time at the conference and getting to sleep in and hang out together!  It was tough that it was a Portuguese speaking country and we do not know ANY Portuguese at all but me managed!

We are so thankful to the Fords for sending us on this trip.  We were greatly blessed by the worship with the Brazilian Christians there.  They are so passionate about their faith and that was extremely encouraging to us.  We were definitely ready to get home to our babies after being gone for 8 days but it was a nice break for us to be gone!!  Here are a few pictures from our trip...
