It hard to believe our baby girl is two years old. The time has flown by! It seems like just yesterday she this tiny 7 lb. little peanut. She is such a joy and I couldn't imagine our family without her in it. She is hilarious, stubborn, energetic, strong willed, silly, and oh so sweet. She is a great eater and an even better sleeper. She loves to snuggle and I love it! She is nothing like her brother, which keeps things interesting at our house. She is absolutely fearless!! She could care less if we are around, will climb on top of any and everything, and wants to do everything her big brother is doing.
We started potty training on Monday of this week. Things have been very up and down. She does great in the morning and hasn't had a single accident before nap at all. Its the afternoons that are killing us. She gets to where she fights even sitting on the potty and then right after I try and make her go and she refuses she pees in her pants or on the floor. Its really hard for me to tell if she is not ready or just being stubborn because she does so well in the mornings and when we are out. This morning we were at the park for a few hours and then went to lunch and she stayed dry the entire time and went potty twice! But this afternoon was a nightmare! I'm gonna stick with it for a another week and if she doesn't have it down by then we will back off and try again later!
Here is a little of what she is up to at 2 years old:
*Weight: 25 lbs 6.2 oz. (35th %)
*Height: 34 1/2 in (75th %0
*Size 2T clothes
*Size 5 shoes
*Loves anything involving water (bath, pool, water table)
*Talks all day long. She knows tons of words and communicates with us really well.
*Favorite foods: yogurt, noodles, fruit snacks, chicken nuggets
*She goes to bed between 7-8pm and wakes up between 7:30-9am
For her actual birthday, we woke up and of course headed to the donut store for breakfast! Always a fun birthday treat!
After breakfast, we went straight to Toys R Us to pick our her birthday present from Collin and me. We decided on a water table to put out on the balcony. They kids both love it!! They play and splash and pour and just have a ball.
We went to a youth event that evening and when we got home there was a big box at the front door with a new Minnie Mouse tricycle from Dede and Pop Pop! She was super excited.
She is such a sweet heart. She definitely has her moments but don't all 2 year olds :D. She has brought so much fun and laughter to our family! I am so thankful God chose me to be her mommy! I feel so blessed that I get to watch her grow and change every day! I can't wait to see what the future holds with sweet sis in our family!
