A couple of weeks ago, Collin and I got to spend 5 fabulous day on a cruise to the Bahamas with our friends and fellow ministers the Rogers and Askins!! We had been anticipating this trip for months now and had a great time!! We sailed out of Port Canaveral just outside Orlando. We had amazing weather and thoroughly enjoyed relaxing and hanging out!!
Our first stop was Freeport, Bahamas. We opted to spend most of the day just lounging by the pool instead of getting off and doing a shore excursion. We did get off for a little bit just to check out the little shops right on the pier.
Our second stop was Nassau, Bahamas. We chose to do the shore excursion to the Atlantis Resort there. It is an amazing place!! We got to see the 2 aquariums they have there and spent the rest of the day just laying on the beach!!
Our third and final stop was Half Moon Cay, Bahamas, which is a private island owned by the cruise ships. It was my favorite stop!! The each was beautiful and the water was the most beautiful crystal blue ever!! We played sand volleyball, layed out, and played in the ocean!! A perfect day in my book!!
Our last day was an at sea day that consisted of laying by the pool and reading!! When we weren't at a port we had a blast hanging out on the ship!! The guys took goofy pics and we played tons of cards!! Every night we enjoyed yummy food!! One night Collin got selected to participate in a game show and ended up winning a $150 gift card for Hasboro.com!!
We had a blast and I'm so glad we got to go. We had a later flight home so we decided last minute to go to Universal Studios to check out the Wizarding World of Harry Potter (I'll give this its own post)!! It was amazing and I loved it!! It was a great way to end the trip!! The only bummer is when we got to the airport we found out our flight got delayed and we were going to miss our connection to Denver from Dallas (which was the last flight of the night) because of it. We were able to get our flights changed and ended up connecting through Miami. Our bags didn't make it when we did, which ended up being around 2 am. Thankfully they were delivered the next day!!
We had an amazing time with our friends and thankfully no one got sick. Hopefully, we can do something like this again sometime soon!!
