He is about the size of a mango. He now weighs about a pound and is about a foot long. Blood vessels in his lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing him for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze him when he hears them outside the womb. Which is a good thing since Toby does tend to bark a bit :D.
On a side note, I think we have decided that we are going to do one of those 3D/4D ultrasounds, which I think are super cool. I need to call and make our appointment for that since you are supposed to do it between 24 and 32 weeks. That will be a lot of fun I think and you can be certain that I will be posting pictures from that.
Also, I am sold on doing maternity pictures but am having a little trouble finding a reasonably priced photographer to do them out here. I really want someone that will give me the digital images so that I can print them myself but that is not very common and the places that do give them to you charge an arm and a leg for it. I wish Collin and I could go back to Texas to do them because I know several great photographers there that could do them but out here I just don't know anyone and we don't have the time to get back to Texas. So, I say this to say...if you know of someone please share!! I would prefer a woman photographer just because to me maternity photos seem a little more personal than normal photos but for the right price I would definitely use a male photographer :D.
