Today has been a great day, we had our first doctors appointment this morning. I will admit I was a little anxious just because I didn't really know what to expect and just wanted to know that everything is ok with our little one.
Our appointment went very well and the Dr. said everything looks great thus far. He went over some things to expect and some possible tests that can be done, which we opted out of. Then he did a sonogram where we were able to see our little baby and hear his or her heartbeat. It made it all so much more real. I couldn't stop smiling and am still so thankful that everything looks great. After our appointment we ran over to the hospital to get my labs done and then had some lunch and headed back home.
Its such an awesome experience to see your baby and hear the heartbeat for the first time. Above is the sonogram picture we got today. By the measurements it says we are 9 weeks and 6 days along and due July 2nd. But he did another measurement that said 9 wks 4 days with a due date of July 4th so we are going to say July 3rd is the day (even though I've read that only 5% of women actually give birth on their due date).
Thanks so much to everyone who said prayers on our behalf and please continue to pray for us as we continue on this journey!! We feel so blessed that God has chosen to give us such a wonderful gift!!

man, we remember this so well. we are so excited that you got a healthy check-up with the dr. keep up those belly shots...you'll want them later! love you guys!
